This interviewer makes me cringe, but this is a great snapshot and insight into the early days of Kyuss.
I interviewed Dustin Hill of Black Pussy about Brant Bjork producing their new album, filling the “rock ‘n’ roll void” and why they’re never, ever going to change their band name.
Spending my morning in bed listening to a BBC special on Songs for the Deaf while looking up at this. Quite the religious experience.
Jack White’s new video for “Freedom at 21”, which features a lot of babes, cars, tattoos and killer shoes—and Josh Homme as a cop for approximately one second at the end, presumably about to pull him over for essentially doing a live-action remake of his video for “Go With the Flow”.
That being said, this video is downright bad ass and that riff is going to continue drilling a hole through my brain all week.
Road trippin’ out to Palm Desert and Joshua Tree today, blasting the first Kyuss record. I’ll be sure to share all of my stoner metal historical finds with you all!
